I am the Founder and Executive Creative Director of Posture Media, an independent branding and marketing agency based in Brooklyn.

Posture Media was born from a publication — Posture Magazine — that I founded in 2013 in order to celebrate work by marginalized creatives and entrepreneurs.

My initial concept for Posture was inspired by the fact that I did not feel that women, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and disabled visionaries were represented properly in mainstream media at the time (and still aren’t), even though I adamantly believe that these communities drive cultural phenomenon, social progress, and innovation. 

During my time as Editor in Chief of Posture Magazine I discovered, while working with a number of sponsors and advertisers, that one of the biggest challenges for companies of all sizes is figuring out an effective approach to providing genuine value to different communities in a way that is authentic and non-tokenizing.

The answer is never simple.

In order to successfully earn brand loyalty, I believe in the importance of genuinely putting in the work to understand different experiences and injustices created by systemic and institutional oppression. People want to be seen and heard, and they want proof of that effort. 

Diversity both “behind the lens” as well as in front of it is crucial. Specifically, it’s not just about the casting or the facade of a company’s external communications. It’s about the company culture, leadership priorities, and growth opportunities available to underestimated talent.

Not only is it the right thing to do, but countless studies have shown how diversity, equity, and inclusion positively affect a company’s bottom line. 

Due to the clear need combined with my passion to expand diversity in the workplace and beyond, I made the decision to transform Posture’s business model into a branding and marketing agency that helps launch and grow purpose-driven companies who embrace diversity as a core value.

Posture’s decentralized business model enables me to cultivate diverse talent across the globe and curate custom teams for our clients so that the teams working behind-the-scenes are a true reflection of the diverse communities each client strives to serve.

I seek to be an active participant in the creation of an industry perspective where profit is a performance indicator and not the only goal.
